How we pick the next flavor

People ask what flavour is next. Fair. The range looks finished: Cherry, Mango, Pear, Strawberry, and Watermelon when we run it.

A new fruit is not a poll. It is a technical question on top of a base that still has to hold.

If you have five minutes, the flavour quiz will point you at a can you might actually drink. If you name a flavour you would try, we read it. It does not decide what we develop. That work is done in-house in Wānaka.

What a vote is

A note from a drinker. A store request. A flavour that keeps coming up.

We read those. We also read what people skip, what they finish, and what else is on the shelf — stevia sodas, fibre drinks, honey copies.

A flavour note is useful. It is not a brief. The next project is still a technical uncertainty: can this fruit sit on the same honey-and-vinegar base without blowing the range we just wrote?

What has to happen first

The current work is the base, not a new SKU. Honey lot, fruit batch, and vinegar still move sweetness, acidity, and stability. The sweeteners that usually hide that movement are ruled out.

That project is How honey lots change the can. The sequence — shipped, now, next, after — is on How we develop.

A new fruit starts when that process is written. Not when a quiz fills up.

Why a fruit is not a flavour drop

Each fruit changes acid, colour, and body in its own way. Cherry is not mango with a different name on the lid. The question is whether the limits from the first project hold, or whether that fruit forces a new set.

If they do not hold, we do not ship a can to please a vote.

What you can do now

Take the flavour quiz if you want a can for this week. Skip the optional flavour note if you would rather not leave one.

Stock the range that already exists on Fridge Fill. Cherry first is still the confident restock: How to build a Fridge Fill.

Want the next can in a café fridge, not only at home? Suggest a store. That is demand we can count. It is still not how we pick a fruit.
